A few weekends ago, Little Planet had her favourite books blessed at a Saraswati puja here in North London. Saraswati is the Hindu goddess for learning and the books blessed included Where The Wild Things Are, The Cat In The Hat, Gruffalo's Child and In The Night Kitchen.
In a couple of weekends, Little Planet will be Christened - as a Catholic, like myself. Though it may be interesting for you to know that her father is an atheist, her maternal grandparents are Hindu, her paternal grandmother is Methodist, her paternal grandfather is Jewish and her childminders are Muslim. And when I was younger, I called myself a Zen Catholic - go ahead and Google the term, it makes for interesting reading - as I segued from Buddhism to Catholicism (but that's a whole other story). We truly are a 21st Century family as far as belief goes.

Which museums and galleries do you think are best suited to visiting with a small child? I also live in London and am always trying to find new things to do. My little boy Joe is 16 months old and VERY energetic so places with space and where other visitors won't have their trips ruined by small children are best. xx
Hello, Well great spaces for toddlers are Tate Britain, Tate Modern, the Serpentine, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, British Library, British Museum, Wellcome Trust, National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery - no one seems to bat an eyelid at noisy toddlers in these places, in my experience. But I am sure you know about all these.
Also, my daughter likes running about but doesn't really shout/scream so we're fine going to smaller galleries too - Haunch of Venison, Hauser & Wirth, Gagosian, Parasol Unit etc. If she starts making a fuss we simply leave.
